Through his website StartupProfessionals.com, Marty Zwilling provides entrepreneurs with first-hand advice, mentoring and business plan assistance as a startup consultant. He has a unique combination of business and high-tech experience, and executive mentoring and connecting startups with potential investors, board members, and service providers.
I’d been reading Marty’s work in different publications like Forbes and Entrepreneur Magazine years ago, before I even knew that I’d eventually be working in the online space. What strikes me about him is his depth. Unlike some “gurus”, who really just have experience in one or two areas, Marty has an extremely large knowledge base that comes from years as a computer scientist, blogger and entrepreneur. As a result of these experiences, he has a unique perspective that allows him to assess almost instantly if a wannabe entrepreneur really has what it takes to make it in the shark tank.
Don’t worry, we discuss that. You’ll know by the end of the interview whether you have the “right stuff”.
With over half a million followers on Twitter and a wildly popular blog he has considerable influence in his arena. He’s the author of several books on entrepreneurship and attracting investors…and to top it off, he’s a really nice guy!
You can get in touch with him via Twitter: @StartupPro
or you can email him directly at Marty[at]StartupProfessionals.com
One last note to keep things in perspective: his consulting services start at $150 an hour, which is an absolute steal for his wealth of knowledge. That being said, we’re getting this advice for free. So, take notes and as always…
Enjoy and implement!
